Smith Family Day Care in San Pedro

Smith Family Child Day Care Center was established by Jacquelyn Smith, a visionary educator, who realized that it was never enough to just play and socialize all day and declare children ready for the world. Her vision of education as a world-changing force came out of this realization. Unless students were prepared to become better rounded individuals, education would have failed in its duty. Smith Family Child Care Center was founded in 1981 to create a center for quality all-round education.

We started off as a small family daycare in the city of Los Angeles. After that, year after year, Smith Family Child Care Center grew with our children, until, in a few years, it began offering quality educational services to children in Harbor City and now, San Pedro.

Many of our former students have excelled at the state and central levels in various fields including academics, sports, exhibitions, music, etc., and have brought their children to the center to receive the same care and services that they once received. How amazing to have your former students bring in their children! We must be doing something right.

Our Vision

Our Day Care Center was established with the aim of providing quality education to children across the curriculum. To this end, Smith Family Child Day Care Center focuses on a variety of co-curricular as extra-curricular activities apart from paying strong attention to the academic requirements of our students. Smith Family Child Care Center has a strict policy of only hiring qualified and experienced aides, ensuring the highest standards of education and mentoring.


Our child daycare center is equipped with all the facilities that one would need to ensure the best exposure to core academic concepts and practices to students. With a well-equipped playroom, a wide varieties of books, puzzles, and other learning material, Smith Family Child Day Care Center ensures variety in education while ensuring steady focus on enhancing the potential of each of our children.

Along with playgrounds and other facilities for physical instruction and recreation, Smith Family Child Care Center also offers exercise in various outdoor games. With a visit to our home-based center, you can rest assured that your children are in safe hands with us

Safety

Our students are as important to us as they are to you. We understand the need to keep a steady look-out for their well-being, and have in place a setup that ensures that any unforeseen event can be handled efficiently. In case of emergency, we are all CPR and 1st Aide Trained and maintain our certificates as required.  It is important to note that your children will be supervised at all times

Our children not only recite the alphabet but are able to recognize and write them.  Our comprehensive program helps children to learn as far as they are able.  The sky is the limit.  Our parents boast that their children stand out from the rest. Before Ethan started Kindergarten, he was already adding.
